I want more than anything to mod ED-E into Wheatley. Can you even imagine how fucking awesome it would be to explore the Mojave Wasteland with that little asshole nattering about how there are TOO MANY BIRDS you’d think the birds would have died out by now and also we should definitely fuck over every faction and become supreme ruler of New Vegas so we can build a giant rat maze and herd all the raiders into it to do some diy testing. I feel like he would also have a lot of opinions about the Protectrons.

I especially love that panel where Wheatley is craning his neck back over the chair. I always thought he’d have this habit of craning his neck at unnatural angles because a lot of the time he forgets he isn’t just a mobile head that can look in any direction and angle it wants, and that he is attached to a body via this weird restrictive stalk of a neck. And that panel looks exactly like that’s what he’s doing and baah I’m rambling THIS IS LOVELY
and I love the Wednesday panel where his face is sleep-nomming the table and Wheatley’s Theory of Evil Dandelion Aliens and DAT GRIN on page 8 and and and

I’ve been seeing all these great Portal fics and recs and Wheatleys on my dash and I wanted to be involved so here I wrote a fanfiction and I think it is the best one.
“I can’t believe you rescued me from space!” said wheatley.
“well i had to,” said chell. “everyone else on the planet is dead and i haven’t had sex in like hundreds of years.” then she started making out with wheatley. “oh man alive!” he said passionately.
he had an android body now and it was super jacked. “i hope you have a penis,” chell whispered in his ear as she ripped off his shirt. his abs were really good and chell thought to herself oh yeah hot dang i’m gonna give you the business.
“w-wait,” said wheatley. “this is my first time.” he was nervous and blushing and shit. all of his sensors and stuff were going crazy because he was so turned on.
“well i’ll try to be gentle baby,” said chell erotically. she pulled off his glasses. “but i want to do it in front of companion cube.”

Spazzy Wheatley is best Wheatley. But seriously, Chell, he’s probably awkward enough as it is without strapping giant tennis rackets to his feet.
I dunno, I just kind of wanted an excuse to draw some Winter!Blue Sky stuff. Also cute snowy outfits. <3

Of course Wheatley would talk her ear off over breakfast, and then realize he hadn’t eaten his breakfast, and stuff it all in his face at once, and then try to keep talking and choke. I love the tiny hint of orange on Chell’s hairband.

SO. There’s this great Portal 2 fic called Blue Sky by waffleguppies. I’m sure a lot of you are aware of it. It’s awesome and <3. There’s also a great follow-up fic called The Itch. And after reading it, I was a bit… inspired to draw fanart for it.
It’s NSFW-ish, but nothing exceptionally naughty. Just a bit out of my normal comfort zone (MY INNOCENCE IS GONE).

Well if it weren’t for you and your art and Bay’s, I would have never bought Portal 2—therefore I would have never drawn Wheatley, or read Blue Sky, or been re-inspired to practise animating dialogue.
So a massive, massive thank you on my part too: here, have a potato. :)

I have alot of tiny headcanons about the last chapter. Like that Wheatley’s sinuses are super sensitive for a bit (due to being in a super-controlled/probably near-sterile environment for such a long time). And that he just eats everything. Like some kind of lawnmower-horse. And that the doctor (Dillon?) half guesses at the reason for his absolute ignorance health and body-wise, but doesn’t really believe it anyway.
Plus, I can’t help but sometimes think of Wheatley as some boneless rubber person. Because of reasons.

Me and K were talking a while back and we agreed that post-Aperture Wheatley, like Chell at first, would have an immune system that was basically shot to shit, and would need about a billion vaccinations before he started to not catch every single cold ever.
Ohhh I love this. Particularly the way business-like Chell just has him draped over her arm.
